Systema.DC provides martial arts training in the Washington, DC. area in affiliation with Special Operations Unit Instructors Vladimir Vasiliev, Mikhail Ryabko and Konstantin Komarov. 

Violence comes in infinite flavors thereby proving the futility of kata and technique memorisation. Under life-threatening conditions, the mind and body is incapable of utilizing fine motor skills to execute complex moves and flashy techniques. Only simplicity and the will to survive prevails.

Systema doesn't rely on techniques, but rather the freedom of mind and body which allows for such techniques to flourish. Our aim is to remain calm, present and mobile in resolving confrontations. Our motto is "Don't deny it, confront it".

Our training centers around non-rehearsed, non-choreographed and spontaneous solutions using naturally honed autonomous responses in dealing with threats stemming from real world data on the streets and battlefields. 

We offer a safe and friendly training environment to develop and research fighting attributes under diverse and realistic conditions. Our students range from law enforcement/military trainers, security experts, martial arts instructors to dancers, nurses and professionals.

We welcome everyone regardless of martial styles or experience. We are confident that Systema will prove to be the "Teflon" in lubricating your training and preserve your health and vitality.

We recently finished an incredible Kargar (Labor Day) Camp at Master Mo's farm. It was a memorable weekend filled with lots of sharing, caring and lots of truly talented folks. Special Thanks to Master Mo, Krystel, Milad and Nick for making this happen.
